Questions about course content

Who are the Green Belt and Black Belt courses for?

They are designed for professionals, leaders, engineers, operations teams, HR profiles and improvement teams that want to use Lean as a way to improve flow, quality and ownership.

Do I need previous Lean experience?

Green Belt does not require prior knowledge. Black Belt expects more maturity and builds towards deeper application, analysis and change leadership. When in doubt, Lean Academy helps you choose the right entry point.

Are the courses practical or theoretical?

The programmes combine fundamentals, cases, simulations, exercises and real examples. The goal is that participants understand Lean principles and can apply them in real processes.

What makes these courses different from short Lean courses?

Lean Academy protects the depth of Lean/TPS. The courses go beyond separate tools and give strong attention to mindset, systems thinking, flow, leadership and application in the work context.

Registration, planning and organisation

Can I register for an open course?

Yes. The course pages show the planned editions. If no date fits, you can contact us for a waiting list or in-company request.

Do you also organise in-company courses?

Yes. An in-company track can be adapted to your organisation's processes, goals and maturity, with optional coaching on the shop floor or workplace.

In which language are the courses delivered?

Current programmes are often delivered in Dutch and/or English. The exact language is shown per course and session.

Where do the courses take place?

Open courses take place at the announced locations. In-company tracks can be organised at the customer's site or another agreed location.

Certification, subsidies and payment

Will I receive a certificate?

For certification programmes such as Green Belt and Black Belt, certification is part of the track. The conditions are described on each course page.

Can my course qualify for subsidies?

For Flemish SMEs, Van Goubergen P&M is a recognised service provider for the KMO-portefeuille. Some courses may also qualify for Flemish training incentives.

Can I get advice on the right course?

Yes. Share your role, experience and learning goal. Lean Academy helps you choose between Green Belt, Black Belt, Hoshin Kanri, Toyota Business Practice or another track.
